Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium

If I told you to name the top 5 cities with the best zoo’s would Omaha ever cross your mind?? Well it should. Depending on which list of “Top Zoo’s in the USA” you are looking at, you will find The Henry Doorly Zoo ranked anywhere between #1 to #5 with an occasional placement in the top #10, but never below that. I for one never knew Omaha had much to offer outside of the College World Series until my trip to town and it didn’t disappoint at all. The zoo is a lot larger than many of the other zoo’s I have visited previously and that means more chances to see some cool ‘wildlife’. Be cautious of what time of the year you visit Omaha because that Midwest mid-summer heat is not to be taken lightly. It was HOT HOT out there. Regardless, you will enjoy the many different themes of this park and all of the variety offered.

What I Ate

Trini’s Mexican Restaurant

Cool spot with a very photo friendly entrance. The food is ok but the drinks are what you are coming for. Great for bar hopping along the strip as I’m sure you’re not going to have a full dinner here.
